BACKGROUND:

Mr. Tavakoli worked as an Air Quality Engineer for the SCAQMD for a period of four years. In that capacity he evaluated equipment at power plants, landfills and waste water treatment facilities for permits and made recommendations to reduce the level of air contaminant emissions.

Mr. Tavakoli worked with Tetra Tech, Inc. in Pasadena, CA, as the Air Quality Section Manager. His duties included interactions with regulatory agencies, proposal write-ups, project scheduling and conducting feasibility studies for various projects.

He served as the Environmental Coordinator for Alternative Energy Systems in Yorba Linda, CA. He worked on the development of automobiles that run on cleaner fuels such as propane and natural gas. He has been in direct contact with CARB and EPA with regards to mobile source emissions standards.

As an engineer with ATI he performs various duties including: environmental audits of facilities; permit application preparation; AB2588 Toxics plans and reports; Annual Emissions Reports; Air Quality Modeling; Air pollution control equipment selection and design; etc.
